We told Elaine we wanted to plan a surprise trip for our son - and she came up with a brilliant idea: a few nights in Iceland followed by time in New York.

We’d visited New York previously on our honeymoon, but we knew our son was keen to go, and this felt like the perfect opportunity.

Our trip began in Iceland, flying from Manchester. From checking in to take-off, everything ran perfectly. Elaine had booked us into the Premier Inn at the airport with parking, which was ideal. She also arranged access to the Aspire Lounge, which was a great way to start the trip.

Iceland was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed at Hotel Fron, right in the heart of Reykjavik, on a bed and breakfast basis. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, and Elaine had everything sorted - all our tickets were printed and sent to my phone, ready to go.

Highlights in Iceland included the fantastic Northern Lights trip and a visit to the iconic Blue Lagoon - both incredible experiences. The Northern Lights were probably the standout moment of the whole trip. The people in Iceland were friendly and helpful, and although it was cold, we had sunny skies and beautiful winter weather.

From Iceland, we flew directly to New York, and again, the whole journey was seamless thanks to Elaine. Our hotel was just a five-minute walk from all the main attractions - amazing location.

Central Park itself was magical - full of history and atmosphere. Another major highlight was going to the top of One World Trade Center for those jaw-dropping panoramic views. We also took a cruise to the Statue of Liberty and made it up the Empire State Building. And then there was the Thanksgiving Parade. An absolutely breathtaking experience that we’ll never forget.

The journey home was just as easy as everything else. Flights, transfers - all stress-free and handled by Elaine. If you’re looking to see two incredible countries in one trip, we’d recommend this experience to anyone. We brought home amazing memories and loved every minute.

Elaine is a brilliantly organised holiday specialist with great knowledge, excellent communication, and a real passion for making sure everything goes like clockwork. She always goes the extra mile - and we’re already looking forward to our next trip with her.
